Men need other men to be involved in their lives and mentor them through the stages of life. At NMBC, the main program focused on this task is our Brotherhood program. Several times a year the Brotherhood hosts stews, prayer breakfasts, and banquet events. These events are intended to aide men in building relationships with other men with the goal creating men who fulfill their Biblical charge of leading in their lives, their homes, and our church.

Through Bible Studies, banquets, small groups, and ministry the women at North Main are encouraged to connect with each other and mentor other women to godliness. Our WMU (Women's Missionary Union) and WEM (Women's Enrichment Ministry) are the ministries that help guide our ministry to women.

One ministry of our church that has left an indelible mark is the Disaster Relief (DR) ministry. Many times a year the call goes out to this committed group because of natural disasters, tragedies, or even large civic events to load up and become the hands and feet of the Savior.
DR teams frequently travel throughout the United States to serve hot meals and to provide Hygene Stations for First Responders in the case of emergencies. Our teams are regularly trained and equipped by SBCV Disaster Relief, so that preparedness is the mark whenever the call may come in.

Our Senior Adult ministry is an active group who are not letting the "Golden Years" slip by. They are active, having a monthly lunch together in the CLC and taking frequent trips to area sights. The Sunshine Groups have a choir that meets weekly for rehearsal.
Also of note is the ANNUAL Sunshine Gala. This event draws a crowd from many of the Senior Adult groups in the Danville area. Be sure to mark your calendar for this event. Usually the Gala is in the month August. Watch the Witness for more information.
If you are headed into the Sunset Years, be sure to come be a part of this group of loving, committed senior adults.

All are welcome to share in the joy of carrying one another's burdens before the Throne of Grace. Many schedule themselves for regular times of prayer in our prayer room at the church campus. To sign up, see the information table immediately adjacent to the Prayer Room door.
